Lesson 1: What Is Cybersecurity?

Cybersecurity is the practice of protecting computers, phones, websites, networks, and digital data from unauthorized access or attacks.

Any device connected to the internet can be attacked. Cybersecurity exists to reduce these risks and keep information safe.

Simple Example:
Locking your phone with a PIN, fingerprint, or face ID is a basic form of cybersecurity.

Cybersecurity is not only about hackers. It also protects against mistakes, software bugs, and system failures.
